THE TOP 10 MUSEUMS IN SARDINIA

Are you looking for a Museum to get inspired by Sardinian art, to retrace ancient civilizations, or to explore the origins of Sardinian traditions?

Here you’ll find the top 10 Museums in Sardinia to widen your cultural horizons.

Watch, listen, feel and imagine. Oh and feel free to snap pictures too – no flash on paintings, of course.

OPENING TIMES

Opening times are different for all museums. However, you’ll be able to visit most of them Tuesday through Sunday and from 09:00-10:00 until 19:20-20:00, daily. The afternoon is siesta time for you and for museums too, so expect them to close between 13:00 and 15:00-16:00. That’s the perfect time for you to enjoy a late breakfast or lunch anyways.

PRICES

You’ll soon notice that entry to even the top 10 Sardinian museums is inexpensive – culture is sponsored by the Regional Government. Tickets will cost you from 5 to 10 Euros each.

If you would like to save some change, try to visit on the first Sunday of the month when most of them offer free entry.

Take the combined entry to another site – in Italian, it’s called biglietto cumulativo – when they offer one. It’s always worth it.

ENGLISH GUIDE

Most museums offer an English guide in the form of a leaflet written in the English language. Forget that and send an e-mail a few days in advance or call a day or two prior to your visit to set up an English guided tour.

You won’t have to pay extra most of the times and even when you do, the difference is usually in the region of a few Euros more.
