TANKA GOLF CLUB

The newest of the Golf Courses on our Top 5, in 2007 Tanka was awarded Best New Golf Course in Italy.

The 18 holes par 70 extend over 5.418 meters with the front 9 being somewhat difficult to play – they make up for it with the incredible view over Capo Carbonara and its Marine Protected Area.

Save your breath – and try to save your scorecard – by playing on the other 9 flatter holes.

IS ARENAS GOLF LODGING AND BEACH

Sea breeze gently brushing through a thick pinewood forest – that’s the main sound you will hear at Is Arenas.

No cars are allowed within 800 meters from the sea, so the only buzz you will hear will be of electric carts and ladybugs wondering among the junipers, lentiscus and cyst bushes that are growing among the pine and acacia trees.

Oh yeah, the other sound you will hear when walking through the 700 hectares of pinewood – managed as a natural reserve – will be golf balls rolling on the green. Plenty of peace to concentrate on your game.

Players from all over the world come to Is Molas. Home of 4 Italian Open and 1 European Volvo Masters, you will find 18 holes par 72 designed by Cotton, Pennink & Partners together with Piero Mancinelli stretching over 6.383 meters.

If that wasn’t enough, you can also play 9 holes in a very technical course.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr in 1969 and recipient of more awards than one can recount in a short post, Pevero stretches over 60 hectares from Cala di Volpe bay to Romazzino, to Grande Pevero bay – the heart of Costa Smeralda.

If you don’t mind playing next to Hollywood celebrities, Fashion icons, European Royalty and Sheiks, then that’s a course for you. Mind the etiquette though.
